Why are my American Bully puppy's front legs splaying out?

It appears he has a valgus deformity, which is where the foot twists out to the side laterally. This usually happens secondary to uneven growth of the radius and ulna. It sounds like Gotti may be suffering from carpal flexural deformity. This can be due to uneven growth of the bones and tissues of the legs, as well as dietary imbalances. I would take him into the vet for evaluation. In early stages, this may be corrected with splints and dietary changes, although surgery may be required to fix it.

From the pictures, it looks like Bruno is suffering from valgus deformity of his front legs. This is when there is a lateral (outward) turn of the feet. It occurs when the ulna stops growing while the radius continues to grow, causing the radius to begin bowing at the top and rotating outward. This is can cause discomfort to Bruno and it is something that can be fixed surgically. You can speak to your vet about surgical treatment of this deformity.

This sounds like a growth deformity, xrays would help to define exactly what is going on. Mineral, especially calcium and phosphorus imbalances can have a major influence at this age - converting his diet completely to a large breed puppy food may help to encourage optimal bone formation

This can be from his genetics or breeding or can develop after an injury. Splinting the carpus will help prevent the condition from worsening when used during exercise but will not correct the problem. Yes the X-rays show a valgus deformity. This is a dog I would not breed since you don’t want to take the chance of this being passed on to the puppies. I recommend a consult with a board certified orthopedic surgeon to see if there is corrective surgery or any rehabilitation treatment they recommend. HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The best thing to do is to have an X-ray of the legs done at your Vet. I would highly recommend a boarded orthopedic surgeon. The cause can be from a nutritional deficiency, genetic malformation or premature closure of the growth plates. There could be options of a brace or surgery to correct the leg. I do not recommend doing anything at home with out the supervision of a Veterinarian as things could worsen. Be sure that Trigger is on a commercial puppy food for large breed dogs. I can definitively see an abnormal angle on the front right leg but as I said on the other answer, this doesn't necessary mean is elbow dysplasia. Hopefully it isn't! Unfortunately, the only way to diagnose it or exclude it would be with an orthopedic examination and few X-rays of the involved joints.
