My puppy eats off the floor, not her bowl. Is she eating enough?

I usually use the rule of thumb of 1 cup per 20 pounds (~9kg). But with puppies, if they are really active and thin then they may need more. Some puppies are nibblers and don't want to eat that much and that is ok as long as he is eating, growing properly, and not too thin. I hope this helps!

Good question. This is fine. The amount on the bag is just a guideline. What she is doing is perfect. I like them to be hungry at the meal and just leave a little. Then you know they are getting all they want and are not over or under feeding. As she grows she may not eat the mid day meal so that's when I cut back to twice a day feeding. Every puppy is different. Chloe may just be a grazer and not eat the entire meal in one sitting, as some dogs are. As long as she is eating, continues to gain weight appropriately, and acting like herself I wouldn't worry too much. If you leave the remaining food down she may go back and eat it at her leisure.

I would not be concerned about this change from wet to dry food as long as she is eating and is not too thin. You will need to refer to the bag of dog food you are feeding to see how much you should be feeding her. Every food has a different amount of calories per cup of food so it is very hard to make a blanket statement that a dog 10# should be eating X amount of food. It depends on the food. So check the bag and feed her according to their recommendations for her weight.

This is VERY normal. If you are adding water to her food then she likely doesn't need any additional water. Being only 2 pounds, she really only needs about 1/4-1/2 cup of water per day to maintain hydration.

The feeding recommendations are averages for all dogs. They can vary widely based on metabolism and energy level. Based on the picture you posted of Oliver, his weight looks perfect. If you are feeding him 1 cup twice daily, but his weight stays at 16-17 pounds and your vet says he is a good weight, then I wouldn't change anything. But I find that most dogs need less than the recommendation on the bag as they get older and their metabolism and activity decreases, so be sure to monitor his weight carefully. She really needs the additional nutrients in that is in the puppy food so maybe you could try mixing the two types of food or adding some canned food that is puppy food. You could also give her a multi-vitamin to help if needed. For her size she should probably eating about 4 cups of food a day. You can also add canned food to entice her to eat. If you are unsure whether her weight is okay, I would have your vet take a look at her to ensure she isn’t underweight. I hope this helps.
