Is my puppy's ear turning dark brown and flipping inside out normal?

That could be completely normal, but sometimes (not very often I have to admit) is related to ear infection/inflammation. If you see any signs of possible inflammation (head shaking, scratching, discharge from ear, redness of skin..) then a check up is needed, otherwise I would consider it normal. This might be a sign of a possible otitis (inflammation of the ear canal), but unless there is any sign of discomfort like scratching or shaking his head, there is no need to be worried about. That is more likely to be a mild amount of ear discharge (not dry blood), commonly caused by an yeast normally resident inside dog's ear canals. Alternatively ear mites can be present but usually cause clinical signs like head shaking/scratching. Considering the absence of these signs and the fact that there is minimal discharge there, I would suggest not worry too much about it at this stage. That is not normal but it could happen as ear canal skin is probably inflamed and more sensitive (so it can bleed more easily). I would recommend to monitor it and if bleeding every time you apply the drops, to have it checked by your local vet to make sure there is nothing more serious (like a small tumor or polyp for example) inside the canal. There can be several causes for pigment change. The most common causes are low grade allergies, hereditary aging changes, endocrine disease or superficial infection. If Pathy shows any evidence of infection or irritation, I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian. At home you can try giving him an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for pets but it may not correct the underlying cause. This can however improve over all skin health. There are two brands of food, Royal Canin and Nutro, which are aimed at skin health and they may help as well but again, they may not affect the underlying problem. That could be a consequence of the bite (scar tissue) or potentially the site is getting infected. Bacterial and fungal infection can cause that presentation. I would recommend to monitor it, and if not resolving, a check up, appropriate disinfection and eventually antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid scratching if any.
