Is puppy drooling after eating a pig ear for the first time normal?

It could be that the pig ear causing Capone some stomach upset and that might be why he isn't eating. Pig ears are fine to give to dogs as occasional treats, and I give them to my dogs occasionally as well. It's a good sign that he is playful and drinking water. I would monitor him tonight, and try to tempt him to eat with some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts. You can also try soaking his dry food in gently warmed low sodium beef or chicken broth. Should he still not want to eat by the morning, I would have him seen by a vet for a health check just to be safe :-)

Drooling can be a sign of nausea or dental problems. Since Gideon is otherwise fine, I'd keep an eye on him for now. If the drooling continues over the next 24-48 hours, then I'd have him checked out by a vet. I hope this helps!

Drooling can be a sign of nausea or pain. Since she threw up and and is now not drooling, I would monitor her for further changes. If the drooling returns or she continues to vomit then i would get her seen. Also watch her appetite and monitor her stool for any diarrhea.

Drooling can be a sign of nausea and this with a decreased activity level can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Rufus evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Please take Brutus to an emergency vet or veterinarian right away, if you have not done so in the meantime, as these could also be signs of bloat (GDV). This would be a life-threatening emergency. An ear infection does not cause such severe signs. Panting points to pain, drooling points to a gastrointestinal problem, and considering it is a large dog. a GDV is not unlikely.

Hello, I'd recommend taking Jaxon to the veterinarian. Excessive drooling could be a sign of nausea and pain. They will want to x-ray his abdomen and see if the plastic he ate is lodged in his intestines, possibly requiring surgical removal. This would be the most common reason for a vaccinated puppy to be this nauseous. I hope this is helpful.
