What's wrong with my 5-month puppy: cough, gag, green snot, no food?

I recommend to take your puppy in to have an exam. Although something like a cold or a virus is a very common cause of sneezing, if you notice it more after eating or drinking that can be suspicious for a cleft palate. Poor Ron! The congestion and the vomiting could be related or it could be two separate problems. It sounds like he likely has a respiratory infection. I would see your vet for an exam and possible antibiotics. Your vet will be able to do X-rays if needed to ensure he hasn't developed pneumonia as well. If he stops eating, acts lethargic, the cough progresses, or he develops a fever (99.5 - 102.5 F is normal in dogs), then take him to an emergency vet right away.
