My puppy keeps chewing the outdoor wood porch. What can I do?

Nala is still a puppy and needs some training. Try replacing you with a toy. So if she bites you say no and give her something to chew on. Also work on sit and stay so she starts to understand basic commands. At pet store they sell bitter apply spray you can try on the furniture to help with chewing. Always remember exercise too.

This is very hard. Dasle isn't really a puppy anymore at 1 year old, so it seems like she's developed preferences for chewing on inappropriate materials. I recommend treating her like a puppy and never letting her out of your sight. If you need to focus on something else (like cooking or talking to someone) she goes in the crate with toys. Attaching a relatively short leash five to six feet) to her and your belt can help with this. If you catch her trying to chew something inappropriate, give her something better to chew. Avoid punishment as this is usually confusing for dogs. Finally, try to find toys that are similar to the furniture that she likes -- a wood toy or fabric toy for example. Chewing is normal for puppies and unfortunately, most of them will not out grow it until thy are about 2 years old. Ingesting material can lead to an intestinal blockage which requires surgery. Heavy exercise prior to leaving may help (if it makes her tired enough to sleep all day) but a safer and more sure option in general is crate training. That is normal behavior for a puppy. I would have lots of toys around to keep him occupied and play with him a lot in the yard to get rid of the excess energy. If you can teach him to fetch that is a good game. I wouldn’t punish him since that may make this worse. Be patient once he’s done teething and grows up this behavior should stop. Chewing on lots of things, including human hands and clothing, is completely normal behavior for a puppy this age - this is how puppies explore the world, and how they instinctively want to play. She will grow out of this behavior as she gets older, but there are some things you can do in the meantime that will help. Make sure that your pup has a variety of different toys to provide an appropriate outlet for this behavior - long floppy rope or fleece toys for tugging, plush toys for biting and carrying, and smaller toys or balls for chasing and fetching. She should also have lots of different chews and long-lasting treats to chew on such as bully sticks, large rawhide chews, cow or pig ears, and puzzle toys like a Kong stuffed with peanut butter. You will need to keep your belongings put away out of her reach for now, just like you would with a toddler or small child. For furniture or other items that can't be put away, you can use Bitter Apple spray to make them taste bad, which should help to discourage her from chewing on them. If you are playing with her and she bites you, just redirect her to one of her toys and use that to play with her instead. If she bites your hands when you pet her, calmly stop petting and wait for her to settle down. I would not recommend restraining her against her will, or pinching her ear to punish her for this behavior - these techniques often make things worse by causing frustration, and do not help her to understand what you want. In addition, doing things like this may cause her to be afraid of being picked up or handled, since she associates pain and discomfort with these things. Just be patient and calm, and redirect her to appropriate things to chew as needed - this behavior will go away on its own with age :)

I am so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with Thor chewing wood in the window. Puppies absolutely do like to get into things they shouldn't, as frustrating as this can be. Exploitation of their environment with their mouth is a part of their development. Teething can also make their need to chew worse. One reason why puppies are known for their destructive tendencies is they are in need of more stimulation, or experience anxiety when separated from you. There currently are several toys on the market which will interact with Thor and release treats, that can be used while you are out.
