Why does my puppy have bumps around her area but seems fine?

Poor Brooklynn! I would worry that she is having an allergic reaction to something. Sometimes we are able to figure out what a dog has had an allergic reaction to and sometimes we can't. Either way, we need to resolve the allergic reaction. The only over the counter product that can be used at home is Benadryl (https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/). However, your vet can give a Benadryl injection that will work more quickly and may also give a steroid injection if needed, so I would recommend having your vet evaluate her and decide on the best treatment for her. If the bumps are getting worse, Brooklynn is not eating or she vomits, she needs medical attention. If she appears to have trouble swallowing or breathing, it is a medical emergency and she needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. Good luck! In the meantime, you can try bathing her with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner such as an oatmeal or fatty acid based formula to soothe the skin. Amaya looks like her skin is irritated, especially around her eye. Puppies can get bacterial infections, yeast infection or skin mites. Less common would be allergies in a young puppy like her. I recommend to have her examined by her veterinarian within the next day. The doctor may preform a skin test called a skin scrape to check for mites and then may prescribe medications. These may be the result of a bacterial skin infection, mange, or be growths. I recommend having Bonita seen by a vet if these bumps do not resolve on their own in the next few days. To me is sounds like Broodie may have a skin infection known as bacterial dermatitis. This can be caused secondarily by allergies, mite infestations, flea problems, and food allergies. It would be best to take Broodie to your veterinarian so that she can be examined and if necessary, treatments like antibiotics can be started. Hello, thank you for your question about Sequoia. Based on what you are describing it sounds like she may be dealing with puppy pyoderma/impetigo, secondary to a bacterial skin infection. This is not an uncommon infection in puppies. Depending on the severity this condition is treating with topical skin cleansers or if severe can require antibiotics. It sounds like Sequoia's condition may be more mild and respond to gentle cleansing, however I would recommend consulting with your veterinarian so that they can decide if Sequoia needs a course of antibiotics to help these lesions resolve.
