Why does my 8-week-old puppy have tiny white bumps on her head?

These kind of problems happen to some puppies and they often go away once the puppy gets older. You could try and use antibiotic cream or ointment on the skin for 7-10 days - it will likely help. However, the skin problem may come back a few weeks later.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This looks like a focal infection. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good day!

This would require an actual examination of the area to see what may be wrong so that therapy can be recommended. Hi and thank you for your post on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It is not unusual for puppies to develop a bacterial infection of the skin. The pustules can appear suddenly but is often times self-limiting (meaning it will go away on it's own). This may be what is going on with Hank. Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! From what I can tell via your photo, this looks a lot like puppy pyoderma-a very common condition among young dogs. Essentially, these are "pimples" for puppies and usually caused by staph bacteria. I will usually try to rule out any underlying flea problem resulting in pustules, etc when I see these patients. If I see nothing else of concern I will usually prescribe antibiotics for 10-14 days at which point the breakout has usually cleared up. I would recommend seeing your vet to do these things as well-Lala will be much more comfortable without pustules. I hope this helps!

Small bumps as such are quite common in puppies, in most cases they grow out of it without any treatment. In some cases it could be a bacterial or fungal infection, if it doesn't get better within 2-3 weeks- take her to the vet to get it treated.

I can see the bumps on Valentino's skin - they may be an early sign of a skin infection, small bug bites, or an allergic reaction (those bumps are usually larger and more itchy, though).
