My Maltese is sick: not eating, throwing up, and breathing fast. Help!

It sounds as Papito is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Some can be serious and others not so serious. She might have eaten something that either disagreed with her or may be causing an [obstruction](https://www.petcoach.co/article/7-things-you-should-know-about-foreign-bodies-in-dogs) somewhere in her gastrointestinal tract. She could be sore from an unknown injury. She could have been exposed to or ingested a[ toxin](https://www.petcoach.co/article/5-cleaning-products-that-are-toxic-to-pets) or irritant in her environment or this could be early signs of another condition or disease process. A complete physical exam by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER would be recommended if symptoms persist for more than 24 hours. Ideally, Princess should be examined by your veterinarian to diagnose the underlying cause if possible. She may be dehydrated after two days of vomiting and may need supportive care. Sometimes, a few episodes of "simple" vomiting without any other symptoms can be managed at home with a 24 hour fast followed by feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. If this doesn't help, a visit to the vet is strongly recommended.

Poor Mookie sounds like he is feeling poorly! He could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, or could have a foreign body among other things causing his vomiting. Normally I'd recommend a bland diet if a dog is at least drinking water, but because he isn't drinking, he really should see a vet today. The vomiting combined with refusing to drink could easily lead to dehydration, and that should be avoided. I would take Mookie into a vet today to diagnose why he's vomiting so he can be treated as needed. I hope this helps!

It sounds like Cubbie is really sick. Breathing fast can be due to a fever (due to infection), an injury, pain or even a problem in the lungs. Any any of those problems can cause a puppy to not eat well and not feel well. Anytime a small puppy is not eating normally, they need medical attention right away. Small puppies can become very sick very quickly because they cannot regulate their blood sugar or temperature normally. I would recommend taking Pups to the vet. These symptoms are very concerning, and probably not related to her mammary nodule. It could be dietary intolerance or indiscretion, food allergy, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, IBD, pancreatitis, among others. The straining and liquid is likely severe diarrhea - similar to humans, you can strain with diarrhea and have nothing come out. The vet will do a thorough exam and may recommend blood work or x-rays to determine what is going on.

Poor Boris! The signs you are describing can be indicative of pancreatitis which is very uncomfortable and painful, a foreign body obstruction, toxin ingestion, or severe intestinal parasite infections. Other non-intestinal conditions such as organ failure and other infections can also cause the signs you mentioned. I recommend having Boris seen by a vet as soon as possible to determine exactly what is going on and begin the appropriate treatment.
