Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Plott | Female | spayed | 7 months and 18 days old | 40 lbs

My puppy 7 months old had a very small drop of blood in her urine last night had the consistency of a booger. She seems to be playing and eating normally and using the bath room the same and doesn’t seem to be in any pain. Should I be worried. She is fixed

Hello, thank you for your question about Hollie.

If you have only noticed a small amount of blood in one episode of urination I would recommend continuing to monitor Hollie. If she continues to have blood in her urine or develops any other symptoms such as straining or small, frequent urinations it is possible that she may have developed a urinary tract infection and I would recommend having her evaluated by your veterinarian.

Hope this helps, good luck!
