Why does my 3-month-old puppy have blisters but no other symptoms?

It really comes down to figuring out what is causing his allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. I would not be worried about the lesion next to the nipple. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). If that does not seem to be the issue then you are left out having to check for environmental allergies which require blood and/or skin tests. Allergies can be very frustrating to deal with at first but so rewarding at the end when we are able to treat them effectively!

That lesion looks very inflamed. It’s possible it’s a reaction to something he chewed on but an infection is also possible. I recommend to have him examined by his veterinarian to rule out something more severe like a tooth root abscess. He may also get medication to help heal the lesion. Best of luck.

Based on the picture you provided, I suspect this may be a blister or pustule due to a skin infection. Waiting until your vaccine booster appointment should be absolutely fine and the veterinarian can address it at this time.

Oh dear, poor Tickles! My first concern in a young puppy with blister-like lesions and a swelling in the neck (which I assume is a lymph node) is puppy strangles. If there is no lymph node enlargement, other issues such as a skin infection, mange or ringworm would be more suspicious. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that you can do at home for any of these conditions aside from assuring that Tickles continues to eat and drink normally. Take him to the vet as soon as you are safely able to do so. I hope that he feels better soon and that you stay safe!

The picture is quite blurry, but it appears like a pus-filled blister (known as a pustule). It's not uncommon for puppies to get a pyoderma (bacterial skin infection), which will cause these little pustules. However, they do not cause a significant amount of pain. One month old puppies do cry a lot, so if it seems similar to what she was previously doing, then I would not worry too much. If it seems that she suddenly started crying more, then it's best to take her to a vet for an exam, so they can discover the problem and explore these lesions a bit more. For now, you can wash the area with a medicated dog shampoo (can find this at the pet store). Usually these skin infections go away within a couple of weeks with daily washing. Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. This looks to be a mild skin infection. Why it happened, we almost never know for sure. It could be from an insect bite but again, no way to know for sure. It does not look serious. I suggest you buy these medicated pads (linked below) and use them twice a day on the affected area. If after about 7-10 days it does not look better then you should have Maxwell examined by your veterinarian.
