Stick with peas, carrots, green beans, blue berries, apples and bananas. Some dogs also like zucchini and pumpkin. Fresh, frozen, canned (no salt added) or cooked (no spices/oil) are all fine. I hope this helps.

Carrots, squash, green beans and peas are all good choices, and a lot of dogs actually like them. Broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers are safe but generally not as "dog approved." Never feed onions, garlic, or chives, as these will cause red blood cell damage that will lead to life threatening anemia when ingested in large enough quantities. People food and veggies are fine as a treat in moderation, however Nala Jai should be on a balanced puppy diet at this point in time to help her grow and stay healthy. Several brands are available that are great such as Science Diet, Purina, Eukanuba, etc, and many offer puppy formulations specific to your dog's breed, age, and size. Fresh veggies such as a piece of carrot, broccoli or some lean chicken are all great as treats, but should be used in moderation and not as the primary diet.

Sweet picture! I would not worry about giving vegetable if you feed a good commercial puppy diet. For chewing purposes, a small Kong toy with frozen peanut butter may do the trick. If you want to give treats that are veggies, try frozen green beans. I hope Toffe will be a great companion!

Yes, it's okay for a 2 month old puppy to have small bites of apple and banana as an occasional treat. I would not recommend giving large amounts, as this may upset his stomach and cause some diarrhea.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Dogs can have fruits and vegetables and in particular some vegetables are good for teeth and digestion, like pumpkin or squash. Fruits that are good for dogs are apples, bananas, strawberries. Avoid any fruit that has pits as these can cause obstructions (peaches, nectarines, plums, etc). Avoid garlic, onions, grapes, raisins and chocolate- these are all very toxic to dogs. Carrots, cucumber, celery, broccoli, are all good as well. Best of luck with Toffee.
