My puppy ate his Milprazon worming tablet. Is he going to be okay?

Knowing that information will help one of us let you know for sure if it's an issue or not! However... praziquantel is usually prescribed for tapeworms, and sold often in 34mg tablets. If the weights are different, then it truly does depend on what dose in mg/kg Zoey ingested. If you think this dose is high then you could expect to see vomiting, diarrhea and a decreased appetite. Some medications, like Ivermectin, should not be administered to particular breeds of dogs. For instance collie breeds experience seizures, muscle twitching, and hypersalivation when treated with Ivermectin. Other deworming medications should not be given to pregnant or lactating dogs or puppies under certain ages. Murphy should be fine, especially if you are not in a heartworm endemic area. The meds will kill any circulating juveniles (microfilariae). Be sure to have him properly tested before the next dose. It takes 5-8 months for a female heartworm to mature into a reproducing adult. Ideally, every dog should be tested every 6 months but since most dogs are on meds year round (for the added intestinal parasite protection), once yearly testing is typical.
