My puppy ate a dryer sheet. Will it pass through his system safely?

The dryer sheet doesn't have any toxins that could hurt your dog and if only a small piece is missing, this should pass through his intestinal tract without trouble. Keep an eye out for drooling, vomiting, loss of appetite, or general lethargy. If anything like this happens, get him in to see your vet right away.

If Vito does not pass it in the next 8 hours a check up would ideally needed, as this could have caused an obstruction. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up earlier than 8 hours if you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. Hi. Hiccups are totally normal and occur commonly in puppies. It will subside w age. No treatment or concern. The dryer sheets should pass. To be safe, depending on which you use, you could contact pet poison line with box in front of you and they will plug in all ingredients and verify that.

Hello. If Chip is not ill or acting sick, then he took care of the problem on his own. If he is acting sick, then do not feed him, supply water only if he does not vomit & get him to the vet as soon as you can. But if he seems fine, he will most likely be OK. It would be fine to give him a small amount of food and monitor. If he eats and does not have any vomiting, then you can resume normal feedings tomorrow. If he has any vomiting and diarrhea, then he should be examined and treated by your vet.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think that Ace should be fine as long a there are no signs of ingestion. Dryer sheets are very toxic if ingested due to the chemicals on the sheets and the fact that they are non-digestible. If he licked/ingested the chemicals off he could show oral irritation (drooling, not eating, vomiting) or skin irritation and in severe cases of ingestion breathing problems and kidney problems. Long story short, if the sheet is intact and he is eating and not drooling he is likely fine! I hope this helps!
