Why is my pregnant dog stressed, peeing, and escaping after moving?

Hello. This is actually pretty common. Daisy has a large uterus with puppies that is pressing on her urinary bladder. The urge to urinate all the time is very common in late pregnancy. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Lulu! I am not sure if I fully understand Lulu's anxiety. It is strange behavior to only chew on herself when she is eating. Maybe she has more allergies and is itchy than anxious? Being mother in animals is instinctual. Most dogs make very good mothers. Her anxiety isn't a predictor whether she will or will not be. I would watch her very carefully after the puppies are born. If there are signs of aggression towards the puppies then you will have to hand raise them with dog milk replacer in bottles. If she is a bad mother I would have her spayed so she can not have any more puppies after this litter. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best!

Yes, I would suspect that this baby is stressing Precious out, leading her to hide. When the baby is over, I would put Precious in her own room or in a crate so she has a safe space of her own. You can also get a DAP, which is a pheromone diffuser that helps dogs with anxiety. You can pair that with a Sentry calming collar which also releases calming pheromones when in contact with her skin. I hope this helps!

Belle may be having some anxiety. I recommend trying Composure chews and an Adaptil diffuser. Hi there. Unfortunately, natural calming supplements like Zylkene or Composure have not been tested in pregnant dogs, so it's not known whether they would be safe to use or not. You could try an Adaptil pheromone collar or diffuser, as this should be safe and may help some with her anxiety.

I am sorry to hear about Soska! It could be that she is feeling a little uncoordinated trying to maneuver into her normal spot. If you use fake grass or potty pads, just put down extra so that the potty area is bigger.
