How to predict my Standard Poodle puppy's adult size from parents?

The breed standard for a bitch is between 46 and 71 pounds approximately, she sounds quite small. I would check her papers and make sure she is KC registered as a standard poodle. It is very hard to know what size the puppies will reach, so I would only consider buying one if you could accept it possibly being on the small side.

When a standard male poodle is fully grown, they are between 45-70 pounds. At almost seven months of age, Theo should be getting close to 3/4 of his final adult weight. This would be 33-52 pounds in size.

Poodle weights- 4-6 pounds (toy) 10-15 pounds (miniature) This question is really hard to answer without watching and tracking Gypsy's growth and without seeing her parents and knowing what their weights were. Toy and mini poodles mature at one year of age so the next 5 1/2 months will answer your question. Her body frame may enlarge or she may just gain a little more weight. It's hard to say. Good luck

You can usually double their weight and that is the average of full grown. At 4 months old, it is hard to say since a cocker spaniel is typically larger than a poodle, and the size will depend on if it is miniature poodle, toy poodle or standard poodle in the blood lines. A healthy puppy should have ribs you can feel but never see and a waist line viewed from above. With all the hair it will be easily viewed when wet.

At 4 months and weighing only 6 lbs, I would guess (without seeing a picture of your dog0 that he won't be over 15 pounds. I wish you the best!

Some dogs dog naturally favor sitting on one hip or the other. It can also indicate a problem with the hip so it is very important to watch for any signs of lameness. Poodles are classified as toy or miniature by the adult weight and the two can be interbred. That means you can guess how big he will be based on the size of his parents but you won't know until he is full grown. Louie will be full grown around 8-10 months of age most likely. Were you able to see the parents and the other puppies? Some dogs just have a smaller than expected body frame. She doesn't appear underweight. Female labs can range between 55-70 pounds. She may gain some more weight as she continues to fill out into adulthood, and that would put her at the low end of normal.
