Why is my Pomeranian shaking, disoriented, and struggling to stand?

I am sorry to hear that Preston isn’t feeling well. At such a young age this concerns Me about the possibility of intoxication. If there is any chance he could have ingested a prescription or recreational medication then he should be evaluated by a veterinarian immediately. I also worry about a possibility of infection such as distemper virus, or other neurologic abnormalities. Hello, thank you for your question. These symptoms could be indicative of many different underlying problems. Shivering/shaking can be a sign of pain in dogs. Alternatively, it is possible that your dog is having a seizure like event. If he is otherwise acting normal and these events are infrequent you could continue to monitor him. Alternatively, if you are concerned you could have him evaluated by your veterinarian. They will examine him and look for any sources of pain. It might be helpful to try and video one of these events if it happens again, since this could help your veterinarian exactly what is going on. Hope this helps!

From what your are describing it seems to be a seizure and I would recommend to have Pommerian checked by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Make sure she didn't ingest anything she shouldn't have (i.e. human medication, herbicide, detergents,...), if you find something suspicious bring it with you so the vet can check it. If she isn't vaccinated, rabies is also a major concern especially for your health so please be careful and and take her straight to your vet.

This is most suspicious of a drug, medication, or poison ingestion. It would be good to have a look around the house and see if there is any possibility that he got into prescription medication, or illicit drugs. Certain plants, wild mushrooms and household chemicals (i.e. antifreeze) can also cause toxicity like this. Considering his current signs, it's best to take him to a vet as soon as possible. They can help identify the cause of this and ensure he doesn't have life-threatening complications. If you happen to identify something he could have ingested, then it's best to inform the vet, so he can get the necessary treatment as soon as possible. I hope that helps and Odin gets better soon.

He could have a seizure from stress or collapsed from lack of oxygen from stress or gotten some water in his lungs. If he is not up and walking and not eating or drinking, he should be seen by your vet for IV fluids for supportive care and have testing done to see what is the problem. IF he aspirated, it will show up on x rays along with his heart to see if there is problem

A very common cause of shaking and acting "off" in dogs is neck or back pain, often due to a pinched nerve or herniated disc. This could have occurred when Faizy jumped off the couch today. Or, she could have abdominal pain, or some other type of injury that isn't visible from the outside. If she is eating and drinking normally and acting okay otherwise, you could opt to restrict her exercise tonight and monitor her to see if the problem resolves by morning. If not, I would recommend taking her to the vet tomorrow for an exam - he/she can do x-rays or other testing if needed to help determine the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.

This is a quite generic but concerning sign. Differentials are many, from gastrointestinal diseases (infection/inflammations often dietary related) to any disease that can spread systemically (causing lethargy for example) like infection, and anything that can cause pain/discomfort. A check up is needed if these vague signs last for more than 24hours.
