My new pitbull isn't getting along with my bulldog. Is this normal?

Continue to be patient and supervise all of their interactions. As he gets older, he should stop being so rambunctious. You can also try to get out some of his extra energy by playing outside or going for a long walk or run to tire him out before he starts playing with your other dogs. I would keep toys and food separate until they learn how to interact. As they get to know each other, your older dogs will help teach the puppy boundaries.

The breed doesn’t determine if dogs will get along, it solely determines on their individual personalities. Exact same as humans from different nationalities or backgrounds. Sometimes you are great roommates and sometimes it doesn’t work out. I would recommend giving them a trial period together for a couple weeks to see how it might work out.

Unfortunately, it sounds like this may not be a good match - just like humans, some dogs have very different personalities and may simply not get along. This will allow the younger dog to relax a bit without being harassed. If things go well like this for a few days, you can gradually allow short periods of contact between them. Reward both dogs when they are together, and particularly praise and reward your older dog for calm behavior around the new dog. You may also want to try a DAP pheromone collar on both dogs, along with a natural calming supplement such as Zylkene or Composure for your older dog to see if this helps a bit.

Aggression issues between dogs can be very complex, so without being able to actually meet him in person and observe his interactions with the other dogs, it's very difficult to say what might be causing this. Some dogs simply don't get along well with "new" dogs once they have grown out of their puppy stage - this could well be the case with your dog, since he's about 6-7 months old now. This isn't necessarily abnormal, but it may mean that your dog is not a good candidate for casual socializing with strange dogs. If you want to try and get a better idea of what may be causing Cssh's aggressive behavior and see if anything can be done to improve it, I would recommend making an appointment with a veterinary behaviorist - he/she can evaluate your dog in person and help you understand exactly what is happening. If needed, they can also help you put together a detailed plan to work on the problem. Your veterinarian should be able to find out where your nearest veterinary behaviorist is located, and set up a referral for you if you wish. In the meantime, I would recommend not allowing Cssh to interact with any dogs that he doesn't already know and like since there is a significant risk that he will continue to behave aggressively, which could cause injury to him or other dog.

The first thing you need to ask yourself here is whether or not you believe the bite to you occurred intentionally, or accidentally while you were trying to separate the two dogs. If it is the former, keeping a dog within your home that you only just adopted that is already ready inflict harm to you is going to be difficult if you don't have a ton of experience with dog behavior and training. While I love pit bulls (I have three), I readily understand that they are large, powerful dogs that can do some serious damage. If you live alone, or if you have children, my recommendation would be to relinquish the dog unfortunately, If the latter is what happened, there may be opportunities for addressing the issue. I would keep the dogs separated for at least the next 24 hours and let things cool off. I would reexamine the entire situation and try to identify what could have happened that brought about the fight the first time. Examine it from every single angle possible, in terms of people in the room, dogs in the room, items in the room, what the dogs were doing, anything at all that could be a variable. This is going to be the most important thing to figure out. You will ultimately need to keep Jazzy on a leash until you are completely confident that she isn't going to hurt your little one. The process may not be short and will definitely not be easy. Either way, I am going to suggest you hire a dog trainer and / or speak with a veterinary behaviorist. If this sounds like all too much, I don't blame you. I think that you have not had her long enough where you should feel terribly about having to relinquish her. Oh my, your pitty baby is adorable. Congratulations on the new pup. It's common for adult dogs to be put off by the antics of young puppies. Give them time for Simba to warm up to his new house mate. In addition to time, I would set up a few ADAPTIL plug in diffusers (about one per 500 square feet) in your home. This is a pheromone that can help calm dogs. Encourage "parallel play" where you pet both of them or have them do tricks like sit near each other. Best of luck to you!

Not all dogs will like another dog. It is kind of like getting a random college roommate. Sometimes you are best friends for life and sometimes you can't wait to move out! I would recommend that you give them time to get to know each other. Continue to monitor them for signs of aggression or fighting. If your male just seems ambivalent to Lulu, that is ok. They may not want to play or snuggle together, but hopefully they can live peacefully in the same house.
