Can Pitbulls & American Bullies thrive in India's extreme climate?

It sounds like you are doing the best you can to keep Ruby comfortable! Obviously being inside in an air conditioned environment during the heat of the day is ideal, but there are plenty of dogs who spend their time outside. To enrich Ruby’s life you could extend the duration and distance of your daily walks, and spend as much time outside with her as you can-play fetch, groom and pet her, even just sit outside and read a book with her by your side. She may enjoy obedience training as a way to bond with you and exercise her mind. Do you have any friends with dogs of a similar size? You could see about setting up play-dates if the dogs get along well.

No, it is not classed as a pit bull but if there is some pit bull blood in the dog, and it gets recognised, you are at risk of having the same problem again. In general, American Bulldogs cross Staffies are ok.

Pit Bulls are very smart, and very anxious to please, and these qualities together makes then very trainable. However, they do seem to have something of a strong will, so they do best with strong leadership and focused training.

Not all dogs like one another. Pit bulls can be selective about which dogs they will get along with. Some dogs get along great in the beginning, then have problems. Some don't like each other from the beginning and get better. Your young bulldog has recently reached sexual maturity, which means males may rival one another for dominance. This is best avoided by having them both neutered and keeping them apart while their hormone levels go down. Dog should be kept apart when no one is around to supervise, and allowed to interact with leashes on while a person is holding each leash. Gradually increase the time they spend together, always supervised. Reward good behavior and ignored or scold poor behavior. Never hit your dogs. you may want the advice of an experienced trainer to keep the peace between the two of them.

Hi Jarrod. A St Bernard is my dream dog! It does get very hot and humid down south in the summer. You can get one of these dogs, but in the summer, they need to kept indoors in the a/c during the day and night, and taken out for short periods of time just to potty when very hot. This is not a dog that should be kept outdoors a lot of the time in the summer.

Hello. Under the right circumstances, a Husky can live anywhere. If your home is air-conditioned or shaded with lots of nice breezes, this would be perfect. But as long as you keep the dog very well brushed out to remove all of the undercoat & he/she has a place to get out of the sun, you will be fine. Hi, it seems like Rincon may have gotten into something he is allergic to. I would make sure they are both on flea and tick prevention first, and if not, treat them with a topical purchased at a pet store or from a vet. If this does not resolve the problem, you can try an antihistamine like Benadryl. There may be an insect or type of plant he is allergic to. This may be repeated whenever the bumps come up. IF this does not resolve it, take him to a vet for a skin exam. Good luck, i hope this helps!
