This is probably an allergic reaction due to an insect bite or a plant outside. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if the swelling becomes too large or if Bo is lethargic, take him to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.

    Yikes! I am worried for an allergic reaction (usually bee or other insect). I'd give some benedryl (see link below) and take Scarlett to your nearest emergency clinic. They will want to give a benedryl shot (which will kick in faster than the oral pills) and possibly a steroid shot. Allergic reactions can get worse as the time passes so please go as soon as possible.
