My parvo survivor puppy is pooping water and vomiting white foam.

Hello. It does sometimes take time for the gut to heal after a bad bout of Parvo, & 11 days of treatment says to me this was a tough one. Continue to fed Pluto, but you might want to switch to an intestinal diet or one made for sensitive stomachs & skin. I would try feeding pretty small amounts frequently, rather than 2-3 larger meals a day. Even a tablespoon or two every hour or so might be tolerated better. If your Pluto was not under the care of a vet for this, I would also be concerned about concurrent intestinal parasites, so a good deworming may be necessary. Oh goodness. I am so sorry to hear that Bambi is so sick. I am very concerned about parvovirus with the symptoms that you describe. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian immediately. At 1.4 pounds she can become severely dehydrated very quickly. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. I would be worried about parvo with those symptoms or a bacterial infection. If it is parvo, he was exposed and incubating the virus before the vaccine so it was not protective. The best thing to do is feed boiled chicken and rice and try to keep him hydrated with pedialyte or Gatorade. I would try to find an ER clinic or a vet that takes after hours calls to get him seen today for a test and further treatment

It sounds as Blue is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I would be very concerned about parvovirus since a littermate died and the virus is extremely contagious and can be fatal. I recommend getting Pup to a vet as soon as possible to have her. tested for the virus. If she is positive, I recommend hospitalization with IV fluid therapy and medications because this virus can cause severe dehydration in a puppy that young. If she is negative, I recommend they test her stool for microscopic parasite eggs. Although she may have been dewormed, not all medications treat all parasites and she may have something that needs to be addressed. Good luck and kisses to Pup!

Poor Stella. I would recommend that she have a fecal examination done if not already. Sometimes parasites complicate things. Even if the fecal exam is negative I would still do a broad spectrum deworming. Also, rarely, dogs will develop something called an intussuseption. This is where the intestines telescope on themselves and cause vomiting and diarrhea and can be life threatening. In dogs infected with parvo virus, there can be long term health effects from the infection such as chronic gastrointestinal disease. I would recommend going on a sensitive stomach formula and adding in a probiotic to see if this helps. As always, check the stool for intestinal parasites to make sure a parasite is not the cause.
