Puppy vomiting, not eating, losing weight after sister died. Is it parvo?

Based on what you are describing I would be concerned that Ellie has either a heavy intestinal parasite burden or parvovirus. Both can cause weight loss, dehydration, vomiting and diarrhea. I would recommend taking Ellie to be examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. She will likely need treatment (for either disease) to be started right away since she is losing weight already. Your vetnwill probably recommend checking a fecal sample and running a parvo test. At the very least she will need to be dewormed and, if healthy enough, start her vaccines. I hope this helps. I'm sorry to hear about Wuero. Since Coco is also acting sick I suspect he has parvo too. The virus is extremely contagious and he has been exposed to it. I recommend taking Coco to the vet to be tested. He may need to be hospitalized on IV fluids and IV medications to treat his symptoms. He is very young and the virus is very strong. Hi,t hanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Dewowmers have the potential to cause an upset stomach such as vomit, diarrhea and decreased appetite. Though I am worried something else is going on since you lost a puppy recently. I worry most about parvo virus in puppies this age, especially if they are yet to be vaccinated. I would have this puppy seen today by your Vet and tested for parvo virus as it is VERY contagious and if it is the cause it will likely affect the entire litter. If it isn't parvo the Vet can at least get this puppy feeling better and prevent dehydration. Good luck!

I recommend to have your puppy examined quickly by the veterinarian. Whatever killed his sibling could be effecting him as well. Parvovirus and poisoning would be on the list of possible causes but you cannot know without testing. Sometimes puppies can make it if they are treated early and aggressively but you have to know whats wrong. Have the puppy examined quickly. Best of luck.

The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I am afraid that Pixie may have the same disease that your other pup has which could be parvovirus. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Pixie evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. She might have a condition called "Parvovirus" which is a very serious virus that affects puppies, and is more likely if Joplin is unvaccinated. The other possible causes in a puppy include an obstruction in her gut (a blockage from a foreign object (ex. ball) that she ate, or an intussusception (the intestines telescoping in on each other). Also, depending on her age, pyometra is possible along with many other conditions. With what you are describing, I am very concerned that she could die without aggressive care. I strongly recommend you get Joplin to a vet right away, and if your vet is closed go to your closest emergency clinic. They will recommend a test of her poop, as well as possible bloodwork and x-rays, and will likely want to keep her in hospital on IV fluids and medications. Vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy are quite concerning in any dog, especially puppies because of the diseases they can get such as parvovirus. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. They would be able to check for this disease as well as checking for other possibilities such as intestinal worms or other infections. The sooner these diseases are diagnosed the better the outcome tends to be. At the very least, Gus can be started on anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medications and his hydration status can be checked.
