My newly adopted dog won't eat and is throwing up. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 70 lbs

just adopted a new dog and brought him him yesterday but he wont eat and threw up today :(

It sounds as Jackson is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Newly adopted dog not eating, doing downward dog, and vomiting. Why?

I’m sorry to hear Wrigley isn’t feeling well. Dogs often do the downward dog stance when their abdomen is painful, especially with pancreatitis. If you have only had him a week many shelters have an agreement for a short time that they will care for health concerns in that time frame.
