Yes she will remember you but she will likely miss then when your return as she will have a new routine by then. She likely won't be more attached to your parents in that short time frame of care. But it is good she will get used to them and that environment for the future. It will make it less stressful down the road if she needs to watched again

That sounds like an awfully big change for Spring, so he may experience some anxiety and stress about being chained up, especially if he hasn't before. Spring likely won't forget you if you return to him, as dogs have gone years before seeing their owners again and are usually happy at their return. Looking into seeing if someone else can watch him that can give him more time, or seeing if a rescue can take him temporarily into foster care may be better off for his mental and physical well-being. Being chained all day long with little exercise or care likely isn't the best for him. You may try contacting a local shelter in your area to see if they have any programs such as temporary fostering that may be a better option.

The best way to ensure your puppy is bonded to you is to be the one who is the primary trainer/caregiver for her. If she isn't already signed up for a puppy class I would consider doing this with her. You can also start training at home. I highly recommend the books Perfect Puppy in 7 Days by Dr. Sophia Yin and The Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell. If you are working with her every day training her and playing with her she should maintain a good bond with you.

Hopefully you brought with you a few familiar items with you from Honey's previous home, like a blanket or bed. Make sure she has access to that. Offer her plenty of cuddles and attention. Offer her usual food and treats from your hand, to help gain her trust. If Honey is used to a crate, make sure you use a similar one in your home. Place her bed in there and she should quickly be drawn to it as a place of comfort and safety. I'd also look into a product called Adaptil, which is a canine pheromone that can help reduce stress and anxiety in new environments. Give it time. It is a difficult phase for Honey right now, but she should gradually get used to her new home and learn to love her new family, if you are patient, consistent, and offer her a nurturing loving home!
