How much liquid dewormer for 5-week-old chihuahua puppies with worms?

Once you have that here's how to calculate the amount. (You should get a dosing syringe so you can measure cc's or ml's) One teaspoon is 5 ml so 1/2 teaspoon is 2.5 ml. If she weighs one pound her dose would be 0.5 ml orally. So take her actual weight in pounds and multiply it by 2.5. Then divide that number by 5 and that will be the number of ml's or milliliters (cc's) that you should give her. Great question. Good luck with Baby Girl. She should be dewormed 3-4 times and the dewormings should be done every 3 weeks.

The amount of dewormer they get is dependent upon the specific dewormer your are using. There should be instructions on the label about how much to give the puppies based upon the body weight. My recommendation is to separate the powder from ONE pouch into 4 equal parts. Then take one of those parts and separate it again into 2 parts and give each puppy one of those parts. That would treat 1.25 pounds which will be fine for those puppies. Each puppy needs that same dose once a day for 3 consecutive days. Don't get too crazy separating every grain of powder. The dewormer is safe so if it is a bit more it will not hurt them. However, you don't want to WAY overdose them. I hope this helps. Best wishes!

This is correct. That medication has a very wide dosing range and it is very safe. Resistance to this medications is starting to becoming a problem so we have started to use the higher end of the dose range.

I typically deworm every 2 weeks, starting from age 2 weeks all the way to 16 weeks. Make sure to weight them each time prior to administering, so that you are giving them the correct dose. I would get Dora a deworming treatment. It sounds like she may have roundworms, which would also cause her diarrhea. I recommend Panacur, which is an OTC deworming treatment. I'm not sure if you can get it in India, but it's worth checking. Panacur is a three day course of treatment, and Dora will need another course of treatment two weeks after the first one to kill all the worms. The first treatment kills the adults already present, while the second kills the ones who had not yet hatched at the time of the first deworming treatment. After that ,she will need to be dewormed monthly until she is six months old, then every three months thereafter.

Praziquantel is typically given as a single dose. It may need to be repeated in 2 weeks. According to package information, one 34mg tablet is the dose given to dogs between 6 and 10 pounds.
