My 7-month-old husky seems small. What's his average size and weight?

Judging from the photos it appears that sbumba is a healthy weight. Huskies are very athletic dogs and lean so that can be on the thinner side of the weight score and still be considered a healthy weight. I hope this helps! Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! How long you want her to heel on a walk is up to you. If you want her to not pull and be by your side then she should be able to do it the entire walk. At 7 months old Sienna is still growing bone wise. She doesn't look overweight in your pictures. Dogs do tend to get overweight after their spay, so you do have to be careful. I would continue the current amount of food. I provided a link on how to determine ideal body condition. If she gets too overweight, cut back. She is approaching the high end of the weight range for a female. I am guessing she will hit 50 lbs. If she is a larger framed husky she could go over that. Puppies typically gain about 10% of their body weight per day and will double their birth weight by roughly day 10. It is ok if the pup is smaller than the others, but growing adequately. He looks like a handsome boy! Its hard to appreciate the character of his haircoat based on picture, but it does look full, though he doesn't seem to have a thick undercoat. I see you are in Belize; if you are in a warm climate, he isn't going to get that very thick coat, as that would increase the chances of him overheating. Its a little hard to gauge, as theres not a great deal of size reference here. Typically, huskys are a bit smaller and more "lean." It may help if you let us know her weight and age; under her pets info there is no age but it says she's 30 pounds, not sure thats accurate. An extremely small percentage of dogs have true grain allergies and most of these dogs are Irish setters. Grain free diets are high in carbohydrates and typically lead to weight gain. I also prefer to feed a food labeled for puppies instead of all life stages. I feel it will better meet her needs as a growing dog. All that being said, the best diet is the one that works for your individual dog. She must like the food, have no vomiting and diarrhea on it and have a glossy hair coat. These are signs it is meeting her nutritional needs. As for her adult size, you can typically double her body weight at 16 weeks of age.
