My German Shepherd has green pus bumps on skin. Is it infected?

Most likely this is a mild skin infection (bacterial) and the green bump could be a small pustule. Puppies commonly get little skin infections on the belly area. You can try cleansing it with a mild soap (i.e. Dove) and warm water, letting it dry, and applying Neosporin to it twice a day. Sometimes the pets immune system and conservative treatment like this is enough to get it to resolve. However if it starts to get worse or starts to spread then it is best to get puppy seen by your vet for further investigation of the area and perhaps oral antibiotics or stronger topical antibiotic sprays to use on the area to get it heal.

Unfortunately the color on the picture is quite distorted. However if appears to be a possible abscess (infected pocket caused by trauma to the skin) or a large inflammatory response to a bug bite (spider perhaps). It is large however and looks irritated so I would recommend having your vet examine this area closely. Jasmine will likely need some medicaitons to get this to resolve well. Poor girl. Hi there! In cases like yours it would be very helpful if you could upload a few photos. Is this possible? What you are describing sounds like pustules. This could be caused from a reaction to something, puppy pyoderma (common in young pups), etc. Likely your pup will need to see your vet for a course of antibiotics. I hope this helps!

This would require an actual examination of the area to see what may be wrong so that therapy can be recommended. Although it is not uncommon, in Serius's case it looks infected, you will need to take him to the vet in order to get it checked and he will probably need an antibiotic course. because of his age i suspect it might be related to the skin contact with urine.

Hello. It may just be coincidental, or Lucas may be having a mild hypersensitivity reaction to the vaccinations. Just watch the area for spread, or if the area should become very itchy. This could be what is called puppy pyoderma which is usually caused by bacterial infection. Sometimes a medicated shampoo bath helps but other times antibiotics are needed from your veterinarian. If the spots do not clear up within a 1 to 2 days, or Storm has any signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, or the rash gets worse then she should be seen by her veterinarian.
