My German Shepherd puppy has a strange purple bump. What should I do?

We found this bump on our new German Shepard puppy, can you please tell me what to do? It has like a purple color to it.

Unfortunately the color on the picture is quite distorted. However if appears to be a possible abscess (infected pocket caused by trauma to the skin) or a large inflammatory response to a bug bite (spider perhaps). It is large however and looks irritated so I would recommend having your vet examine this area closely. Jasmine will likely need some medicaitons to get this to resolve well. Poor girl. I hope she gets this resolved soon. Best wishes and take care.

Due to the color, this is either a reaction to an insect bite or a mass. I would expect your vet to want to possibly shave the area to get a closer view of it, and possibly get samples from it. If an insect bite is more likely, then a short course of anti-inflammatory medication can help resolve the area, especially if it is causing Hazel discomfort.
I hope that this lesion resolves soon and is nothing more than an insect bite. Best of luck and take care.

If it's a mass and it enlarges please take him in to have it examined and removed if needed. My dog has purple growths on leg, one burst with a hole. What is it?

These look like deep bacterial infection similar to cyst. However skin tumors such as a hemangioma are also possible. I recommend you keep these areas clean and dry and prevent Savannah from licking at them. Your veterinarian should do an exam on the sites because if they are cancer they may need to be removed before they become any bigger.

My German Shepherd has a growing bump on her mouth. What is it?

This could be a ringworm lesion(fungal disease), a vitiligo lesion (where the pigment of the skin is lost), or a wart or other tumor. This will need to be examined in a hands-on matter, the skin needs to be palpated, a possible skin scrape or brush sample taken or a fine needle aspirate, in order to properly diagnose this condition. Once a diagnosis is made it will be clear whether treatment is necessary or not and if so, what kind of treatment. Please schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam.

My dog has a purple growth on her back foot. What could it be?

Luna could have a few different things going on. Without a picture it is hard to tell you exactly. Young dogs can get non cancerous growths called histiocytomas. These sometimes will go away with in a few months. If the growth does not go away I would take him to a veterinarian to have an aspirate taken. It is also possible a foreign body, infection or insect bite is possible.
