My Frenchie ate Ferrero Roche chocolate. Should I take her to the vet?

There really is not a toxic amount of milk chocolate in two Ferrero Rochers to cause a problem in your 6.3lbs dog. 2 Balls weigh approximately 26g (less than an ounce) and the major ingredient is fat. So there is not enough chocolate content to be dangerous for Junior.

It's best to take her to the vet considering the amount of chocolate ingested is unknown and she was vomiting (an early sign of chocolate toxicity). I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food tonight, then in the morning feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. I am assuming it was milk chocolate frosting - if so you might see vomiting and diarrhea, and it would be best to see a veterinarian to induce vomiting if it happened in the past couple of hours. If it has been longer you can probably monitor for any vomiting and diarrhea and see a veterinarian if they occur.

If she ate dark chocolate, your MIL should rush her into a vet immediately as it doesn’t take a lot to cause toxic symptoms. Milk chocolate will require more to cause symptoms. If she ate milk chocolate, I wouldn’t rush home just yet. Have your MIL watch her for vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and muscle tremors. It's difficult to know how much the actual cocoa content is in this, but 2oz of dark chocolate would only be enough to cause mild signs of toxicity, which would be hyper-excitability. It's likely that this will not cause any issues at all with Henry, so I don't see the need to rush to the vet just yet. Signs of further chocolate toxicity can be vomiting, tremors and seizures. If you notice any of these signs, then it's best to take Henry to a vet for treatment/monitoring. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done at home for this. It's best to make sure he has plenty of water and that you check him every four hours for any signs of toxicity.
