Is Eukanuba small breed formula a good quality dog food?

Euknuba is a good food but I think the brand Royal Canin is better. To the best of my knowledge, the brand has not had a recall since 2007 (which is a long time). The diet is also low residue which results in good stool quality and low quantity for most dogs who eat this diet. It is one of the more palatable diets and pets who eat this food generally have nice coats and skin. Please feel free to post any additional questions.

I personally recommend Eukanuba. I do not like Blue Buffalo at all, I've seen a number of dogs have health issues on it such as gastroenteritis, plus there is no quality control over their food. They do not own their own factories and send their recipes to other factories to make it. Finally, they do not have a veterinary nutritionist on staff to make sure the food is nutritionally balanced like Eukanuba has. I definitely would buy her Eukanuba. I personally do not like Blue Buffalo at all. They have had serious quality control problems which they have admitted due to the fact that they don't own their own factories. They therefore give the recipe to someone to make, and have no control over whether or not the recipe is followed exactly. Plus many colleagues have reported an increase in gas with this food. I would not recommend Blue Buffalo for Fiffy. As for the other two foods, between the two of them I would recommend the Nutro Max. It's a better quality food in my opinion. Just so you are aware, grains are beneficial to dogs and I do not recommend feeding a dog a grain free food unless they have a proven grain allergy, which isn't very common at all in dogs. Food allergies are the least common type of allergies in dogs, and when they do have a food allergy, it is most commonly related to protein not grain. There are very few dogs who have true grain allergies. It is beneficial for Fiffy's health to feed her grains, and brands that I would recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this all helps!

Eukanuba is a great food, I recommend it! Given that she is year old, I would transition her to an adult food. As for the dandruff, she could simply have dry skin. You can try giving her vitamin E supplements or a vitamin E bath, which will help with the dry skin.

Yes, that food is fine. I would recommend that you transition the foods over 2-4 weeks to avoid upsetting the stomach. You can mix them together slowly until it is only the Eukanuba. Some dogs don't have a sensitive stomach and switching between foods suddenly doesn't cause any issues.

The short answer is yes. I have fed my dogs Fromm which they both enjoyed and did well on. I think it is important to not only evaluate ingredients, but also see how a dog does on a food.
