Yes, it is absolutely fine to give this antibiotic for so long, in fact for this type of condition it must be given for at least 3 weeks. regarding the pyritinol if your vet prescribed it you should give it to him too.

It's not recommended to keep an animal on antibiotics long term unless absolutely necessary. She's only four months old, and she may not go into heat until she is closer to a year of age. I would have her spayed to see if that helps.

If your veterinarian recommends Doxycycline for Samson I would go ahead and give it. The benefit of the medication most likely outweighs any risk that it may have on Sampson. Doxycycline does not typically affect the growth but can affect tooth enamel when given to very young puppies. Since Sampson is 10 months old he shouldn’t have this issue at all. I hope this helps. One pill shouldn't alter the results, so that will be fine. AZP should not be given to dogs, it's not a medication that can be safely used in this species. The best way to prevent infections is to make sure Amelia drinks lots of water, and you take her out to urinate frequently. The longer she holds her bladder, the more chance bacteria has to build up in the bladder leading to infections.
