My dog has worsening lesions. When should I take him to the ER vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 10 lbs

My dog has lesions on his belly, under legs, and mouth that are growing worse by the day. Can/should I wait until Monday for an appointment with the vet or take him to emergency this weekend?

It's hard for me to give you an opinion without seeing the condition myself, if it looks badly infected and your dog is extremely bothered by it or lethargic- you should take him to the ER ASAP, otherwise it can wait for tomorrow.
