My dog has a worm-shaped growth on his scrotum. What could it be?

From the pictures you have sent the "bump" appears to be a skin growth. There are several types off masses that can grow in the skin of dogs such as cysts, lipomas and some types of cancers. Some are benign and some are malignant, so careful observation is important, as well as having a vet examine it if you are concerned. Since you only just noticed the lump, and Doom is neutered, I would continue to monitor it for growth, ulceration, changes in texture or color. Measure the mass with a ruler so you can compare its growth in a couple weeks time. Rapidly growing masses are more concerning. If the mass has grown or changed in that time I would advise taking Doom to have the mass examined and analyzed. I hope that this answer was helpful and more importantly that Doom feels better soon. These skin tags are usually benign and may just fall off leaving small skin sore but Lucky will need to be fully examined by a vet to make the final diagnosis. Please, take your dog to your local vets tomorrow for an appointment. Your vet may want to remove it under local anaesthesia if it is painful for Lucky

At such a young age a tumor would be very unlikely. However, skin infection called pyoderma or a large maggot called a cuterebra could be the cause. This is definitely a tumor but what type, I don't know. My best guess would be a TVT tumor but without examining him myself it is difficult to say. There is nothing you can do about this at home. He needs to see a vet for diagnostics and treatment. I'm sorry but not everything can be fixed at home. This is a time when you need a vet. Thank you for providing a picture of Bozwer's testicles! I can see why you are concerned. From the picture, these could be benign growths or it could be due to a skin infection from bacteria or yeast. Without seeing him in person, I couldn't say for certain. The best thing to do for him is have him seen by a vet this week. The vet can examine and diagnose what is causing these symptoms, and can prescribe treatment for them. Good luck, I hope this helps!

This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Dodger to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
