My dog has white spots on his face. Is it vitiligo or something else?

It is difficult to tell in these photos, but if your dog's fur itself is turning white/color fading away without loss of the hair itself it could be a condition called vitiligo. This causes loss of the pigment of the skin and hair. Often it is a harmless condition but can sometimes be seen with some autoimmune disorders so it is recommended to have an exam done by Tyson's vet to be on the safe side.

I am sorry to hear about Michief. It is possible he could have vitiligo, which causes a loss of pigmentation of the skin/fur in dogs. Sometimes this can appear as a small patch, and sometimes can be over larger areas. Dachshunds are a breed we see with this condition. It can sometimes result from a stressful event, and occasionally due to an autoimmune condition. I would recommend bringing him in for his vet to examine him to determine if this is what is happening with Michief. Best of luck to you!

The round spots, although a picture of them would be essential to understand the underlying cause, could be generally speaking caused by an infection or eventually even a toxic. These appear to possibly be blackheads. They are caused by clogged pores on Bruno's skin. You can try using Stridex pads to wipe the area and flush the follicle. However, if they are not causing any pain or irritation, you can chose to just monitor them for now. However, if they become irritating to Bruno, then a vet visit is advised. I don't suspect a flea problem to be the underlying cause of these at all, so you are ok to continue using Bravecto as needed. Best wishes and take care.

As long as the skin below is normal appearing (looks like it from the pictures, but can't be 100%), this would be a condition known as leukotrichia. The cause of this is a bit of a mystery, but the good news is that it is not harmful. I would want to check that the skin appears normal before saying for sure though. For this you'd have to have a vet examine her. I hope that helps and all is well with Maxi.

Pictures can be deceiving but the areas do not appear raised or thickened from inflammation, if they are indeed as flat and smooth as the surrounding skin i would not be concerned but would monitor for any further increase in size or number, regular photos can help to monitor. sk your vet to check sat your next wellness or vaccine appointment but depigmented spots are quite common and innocent

This can be caused by certain skin mites and fungal infections. I recommend having the area looked at by a vet, who may need to take a small sample of the skin to determine what is going on. They may recommend topical or oral treatments. It is important to have Bear looked at because some of these conditions can spread to humans, such as ringworm.
