My dog has watery nose, heavy breathing, fast heartbeat. What's wrong?

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Coco!! Since she is such a young baby and because of her breed I think she should see a Vet as soon as you can. Also since it has now been 2 days and she is less energetic. Coco may have an upper respiratory infection from a viral or bacterial infection, or kennel cough, or pneumonia or the flu. The Vet, after their exam, may recommend chest X-rays and likely will prescribe antibiotics. I hope this helps and I hope Coco is back to her cute Pug self soon!

This may be due to an upper respiratory infection that could be now affecting the lower respiratory system as well such as kennel cough. It is very important that you have Teddy evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to gather more information and proceed with an exam to determine what would be best at this point. They are likely going to consider prescribing antibiotics. Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds as if Charlie is dealing with a severe respiratory disease / infection. I would strongly recommend getting Charlie in to the emergency veterinarian as soon as possible as this could potentially become fatal if not appropriately treated. The sooner he is seen the better. You can try and place him in the bathroom with the hot shower running so that he is breathing in steam and using a humidifier in the meantime while you are waiting to get to an emergency vet. Thanks for posting! Oh dear-it sounds like Rocko has a upper respiratory infection! Possible causes may be bordetella infection (kennel cough), canine influenza, or canine distemper virus. I would highly recommend Rocko be taken to his nearest veterinarian today or tomorrow for an exam and antibiotics at the very least. Rocko may be IV fluids and other supportive medications as needed.
