Why is my dog walking sideways and falling, but otherwise normal?

Walking sideways isn't normal. It can indicate brain dysfunction, inner ear infection, or major organ dysfunction. I would recommend that you have Dioji examined by a vet. The vet will do a thorough physical and neurologic exam, and may recommend blood work to see what is going on.

I would recommend that you have Sweety examined by a vet. Unspayed older dogs are at risk for developing a life-threatening infection in the uterus. Other possible causes for ataxia (walking drunk) are vestibular syndrome, ear infection, body infection, kidney or liver disease, etc. The vet will do a thorough physical and neurologic exam and may recommend blood work to see what could be going on.

Poor Zoe! I would be very concerned that she has a serious medical problem causing her symptoms such as heart disease, which is common in senior dogs. Heart disease leads to exercise intolerance, and it would cause her to become weak during normal activity and fall over. These symptoms are certainly not normal, and she needs a visit to the vet as soon as possible for a physical exam, routine blood tests, urinalysis, and chest x-rays. Once the cause of her symptoms are found, the vet can discuss treatment options with you. Heart disease cannot be cured, but it can be medically managed. Since it has been happening for some time and she has recently developed new symptoms, Emma should be examined by your veterinarian. A physical exam and bloodwork (CBC, chemistry/thyroid panels, urinalysis) may diagnose metabolic or neurologic issues, especially in a senior pet. Hello, It sounds like Taisie is experiencing some neurologic abnormalities. It is hard to say without physically examining her what the problem is, but some possibilities are spinal pain, a herniated disc, vestibular (inner ear) infection or disease, or a brain tumor. Beast could be suffering from a metabolic disease like diabetes that can affect balance and neurologic function, for example. I recommend a full workup if this behavior continues, including blood work and potentially radiographs to look for signs of metabolic or neurologic disease, infection, or arthritis.
