Why does my dog have a vulva bump and breast redness after Benadryl?

These bumps could be from an allergic reaction, mites, fleas, or a skin infection. Because Benadryl hasn't helped and Kylo has had these bumps for a week, it's time to see the vet. The vet can diagnose the cause of the bumps, and can prescribe the correct treatment for them. I would take him into the vet in the morning. I hope this helps!

These are probably pustules from a minor skin infection. Since she is not spayed, she may continue to get these due to underlying increase of hormones. If she is not a breeding bitch you should have her spayed which will hopefully stop them from recurring. This presentation could be due to a localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking. Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Those bumps do not look like a bug bite reaction as but bite reactions are usually haired swellings in the skin. I would be worried that these are an infection or masses of a different type (benign (non-cancerous) masses or more concerningly a cancerous mass). If they popped up quickly then they are more likely infection. I would recommend not giving Benedryl, putting an e-collar on Kelso so that he can't scratch them open, and get him to a vet as soon as possible for testing and medications. Best of luck with Kelso.

Swollen red bumps on the belly or near the private parts are most often caused by a bacterial skin infection called [pyoderma](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/staphylococcal-pyoderma-1/). If the bumps aren't bothering her much and she is acting normal otherwise, you can get a [topical antibiotic spray](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/vetericyn-plus-wound-and-skin-care-for-dogs) labeled for dogs at Petco or online. Use this on the affected area 2-3 times daily until the bumps are gone. If there is no improvement in the rash in the next 3-5 days, or if she is itchy or painful or having any other symptoms, then I would recommend having her examined by a vet as she may need oral antibiotics or other prescription medication to treat the problem.

Without seeing it in person, it is impossible for me to say. This could be a bug or spider bite. It could also be a local allergic reaction or an area the Hazel has been chewing causing the swelling. I would give her some beandryl to see if this helps. If it doesn't, I would have your vet take a look to ensure there isn't an infection.
