Why is my pug not eating, vomiting, with yellow discharge after heat?

Vomiting is not usually a symptom of being in heat. It sounds as if she might have eaten something that either disagreed with her or something that has gotten stuck somewhere in her gastrointestinal tract. She could have been exposed to some sort of toxin or irritant in her environment or this could be early signs of another condition or disease process. She could also have a uterine infection causing these symptoms. I recommend getting her seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Your vet will do an exam, blood work and possibly x-rays to determine the cause of the illness and suggest an effective treatment plan. Additionally, unless she is a purebred that will improve the breed by producing offspring, I highly recommend getting her spayed once she is over her illness. This will eliminate the chance of her getting a life-threatening uterine infection and greatly reduce her chances of developing breast cancer in the future.

Vomiting could be a sign of gastritis due a bacterial or parasitic infection in the GI system or due to dietary indiscretion or pancreatitis. It could also be due to a gastric foreign body obstruction - meaning that something is stuck in his intestines causing a blockage. Given that the vomiting has been going on for more than 24 hours you should take Valentino to a veterinarian right away.

I would recommend that you have Puma examined by a vet as soon as possible. Possible causes of vomiting and pale gums includes intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, among a few others. After examination, the vet may recommend bloodwork, viral testing for parvo virus, or x-rays to look for an intestinal blockage.

Poor Babygirl! I see that she isn't spayed. One of the causes of her symptoms could be a pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus. This is fatal without treatment. It could also be she has a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. Because she hasn't eaten in two days, is vomiting, and I can't rule out a pyometra without seeing her in person, I would take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

Your poor pup! If she isn't spayed, I would be very concerned that she has a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment, and it would cause a white discharge as well as vomiting. It sounds like your vet may have been suspicious she had a pyometra and tried treating it medically with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Unfortunately the medical route often isn't successful, and surgery is needed to treat it. This means spaying her. I would take her back into the vet immediately, as this is a medical emergency. Poor girl. Pyometra doesn't usually cause just bloody discharge. It will be a foul smelling pink discharge or no discharge at all. However, if she had her last heat cycle 1-2 months ago and now appears to be having a similar heat cycle, then I would definitely suspect that she has pyometra. At any rate, because she is so ill, I would highly recommend Zoe see your local vet for a thorough exam and medical care. Any pet that refuses food for more than 24-48 hrs should be seen, because an underlying illness is present that needs to be identified and treated for. It sounds as Pavi is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.
