My dog is vomiting repeatedly and has a fever, what should I do?

If Bella just started vomiting since starting the Amoxicillin, I would stop giving her the medication and schedule a recheck with your vet. She likely is just sensitive to this medication and will do fine on another one. Try offering her something easily digestible to eat like plain boiled chicken and rice. It may be the antibiotic or it could be discomfort associated with the pancreatitis. Report the vomiting to your veterinarian and consider a recheck exam. Your veterinarian may dispense an anti emetic to control vomiting as well as pain management.

There is a chance that this is related to the medication and so should stop within about 12 hours of stopping the medication. If your puppy is still vomiting after that then I would recommend taking her in to be examined and given medication to stop the vomiting. It is possible that these symptoms are unrelated to the antibiotics, but you definitely did the right thing by stopping to give them to her. You can monitor her throughout the night, and offer water only. If you are concerned that Stormy is getting worse throughout the night, you can have her evaluated by an emergency vet. These signs are compatible with a severe gastrointestinal infection.Unfortunately a check up would be the ideal solution as antibiotics may be needed to solve the possible infection and before clinical condition becomes critical. You can try to switch her diet to a more digestible one based on boiled chicken and rice but other than that a check up is really essential. Based on the symptoms you have outlined, I would guess that Chai most likely has some sort of infection somewhere within the body. Given that there is some vomiting, a reasonable assumption would be somewhere within the digestive tract, liver, or pancreas. Only blood work would provide us with enough information to at least point us in one direction or another. Chai is going to require some medications to address the vomiting and fever, as well as some fluids most likely to correct any dehydration that is taking place. If there is an infection somewhere within the body, at least one antimicrobial drug will be required to clear things up. I don't know about the Philippines, but in USA most of the drugs that will be required to help Chai are prescription only, meaning you will have to find a veterinarian to help you. Some other possibilities other than an infection would include organ failure, an endocrine condition called Addison's disease, and even cancer. Poor Mac! I recommend to call his veterinarian who may ask to see him again or may recommend medications. It possible the antibiotic has upset his tummy but it’s also possible something else is going on. You can switch his diet to boiled white meat chicken and plain boiled white rice for the next few days. If he continues to be sick, he should see his veterinarian.
