My pet is vomiting, bloody stool, not drinking. Is there a home remedy?

This is very concerning. Your aunt's dog could be suffering from a severe gastro-intestinal infection or condition such as hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. This can be life threatening. This dog urgently needs to be seen at a petER tonight, will likely need iv fluids, pain medicine and definitely antibiotics as he is bleeding from his intestine. Please advise your aunt to take Jackie to a petER. I am afraid there is no home remedy.

Yes, I recommend to keep that appointment. Scarlett has significant inflammation in her intestines and she may start getting dehydrated if she is not drinking well. A bland diet is something you can o at home which can help. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. Poor Sergio. If he is eating a different diet than he was before, that could be causing the stomach upset and diarrhea. It could also be that he is sick. Because he is vomiting, having diarrhea, and there appears to be blood in it, he's too sick for a home remedy. I'd take him into a vet immediately to get this treated. Best of luck.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I noticed in one of those pictures that his stool is really diarrhea and is black (which usually means a sign of bleeding). Vomiting and diarrhea can occur secondary to conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, parasites, among other possibilities. In addition, black stools can be indicative of bleeding into the small intestine or stomach which can happen secondary to an ulcer for instance. Bloody urine can be the result of an infection, stones, tumors, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can start him on medications to make him feel better and check his hydration status. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Hi there and thanks for posting! Blood in the stool and vomiting can have a variety of causes such as parasites, viral, or bacterial infections. Anal gland infections or cancer near the colon or of the large intestines can also cause blood in the stool. Gastrointestinal obstructions can also cause loose stool and vomiting. My best advice is to withhold food from Fandanggo until tomorrow morning (he can have water, however). Tomorrow morning, feed him small amounts of boiled chicken, rice, and plain canned pumpkin ( not he pie filling). If he is still vomiting and having diarrhea today or tomorrow, he really should see a veterinarian as soon as possible. As mentioned above, there can be many causes for Fandanggo's symptoms, so it is best if not too much time goes by without seeing a veterinarian. I'm sorry to hear that Pickles is not feeling well! Vomiting and bloody diarrhea can occur in young puppies as a result of parvovirus, other intestinal viruses, parasites, or an upset stomach from changes in food or medication. Young puppies are more susceptible to the effects of dehydration and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar - typically caused by not eating or excessive vomiting) than adult dogs. At this point, the best thing to do is take Pickles to a vet immediately. The vet will be able to examine her, perform any necessary testing (possibly a stool test, parvovirus test, blood tests) so that the most appropriate treatment can be started. With the severity of Pickles' clinical signs, there are no home remedies that are likely to be even remotely effective. I hope that she is feeling better soon!
