Dog vomiting, bloody diarrhea, not drinking. Is it serious? Home remedies?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 10 years and 9 months old | 50 lbs

Okay so I recently brought chocolate made for Dogs, (I found it in a pet store) and after feeding it to my dog, she keeps vomiting. And I noticed her poo has a bit of blood in it, and also it's very runny, she isn't drinking much water, she has only drank a bit of it, (sry for any bad english) is this something to worry about? I've booked her for a vets appointment, is there any home remedies? Is this something to worry about?

Yes, I recommend to keep that appointment. Scarlett has significant inflammation in her intestines and she may start getting dehydrated if she is not drinking well.
A bland diet is something you can o at home which can help. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. I hope Scarlett starts feeling better quickly! Please feel free to post any additional questions.
