My Chihuahua is vomiting, won't eat, has black poop after antibiotics.

Oh no, poor Pixee! It's very concerning that she is passing feces that have blood in it. If she is pooping a lot, she could have diarrhea. She really needs to see a vet as soon as possible because blood in the feces can have some very serious causes including eating something toxic, a foreign body, trauma to the GI tract, or GI tumors. I would take Pixee into a vet immediately to diagnose the cause of her bloody feces and the vet can discuss treatment options.

I'm so sorry to hear that Chi Chi isn't feeling well. She may have one problem that is causing all her signs or she may have 2 separate problems. I see that she is a Dachshund, and I'm sure you know that they are known for having back problems. So, she may be having back pain that is causing her to not want to jump and not be able to do the stairs normally. Back problems in Dachshunds can be very serious, so I would recommend keeping her rested and having her veterinarian examine her to see if they can find any back pain or abnormalities on her neurological examination. Our biggest fear about black tarry stools is that they can be be due to bleeding in the stomach. If you have given Chi Chi any medications that are not prescribed by your veterinarian, be sure to stop those right away. Hi there, he may be having some gastric upset due to the antibiotics, but I would encourage you to call your vet to see if you could maybe stop the diclofenac and finish the cephalexin. If you are not giving your medications with a meal they can cause gastric upset even more, as they will increase gastric acid production. Pepcid (famotidine) is usually considered safe to use in dogs-you will have to call your doctor for a dosage or find it online as we cannot legally give you a dosage due to the nature of our company and having not seen your pet in person. However-and blood in the stool (I am assuming this is digested blood in your black feces) and not being able to eat without vomiting to me represents something I would personally encourage you to seek emergency veterinary care for. Black stools is usually a sign of bleeding from the stomach or small intestines, it's definitely not a good sign and is not likely to be due to the antibiotics. i would recommend taking Curt back to the vet ASAP for re-evaluation of the situation.

I am sorry to hear Blackie isn't feeling well. I would be very concerned about a GI foreign body. I recommend taking her to a vet ASAP for an exam and radiographs. Even if she is drinking water, she is not drinking enough to combat the vomiting and is probably dehydrated. Please do not give any more medications as you may be making things worse. It sounds as Chloe is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.
