Why does my dog throw up after exercise, even when cooled down?

I would recommend having Beamer evaluated by a vet. It's not normal to have vomiting and/or regurgitation regularly, and that extra acid in the stomach could lead to problems in the future. Your vet may want to do x-rays or other diagnostics to check for megaesophagus or other issues with the esophagus and stomach. They may recommend antacids, a different type of food, or a hypoallergenic diet.

This could be due to acid reflux. You can try an ant acid medication such as omeperazole to see if it helps. If you don’t see improvement in 1 to 2 weeks, you should follow up with your veterinarian for diagnostics including bloodwork and X-rays.

Frequent vomiting after meals can sometimes indicate an issue such as eating too quickly, or a problem with the function of the esophagus or stomach. If she is continuing to vomit after being given medication then further testing such as X-ray/ultrasound of the esophagus and stomach or referral to a specialist is best. In some cases, slowing down your dog's eating or feeding from a raised platform can help improve function and reduce vomiting, but since it has been ongoing further testing is best to pinpoint the problem.

Chronic vomiting can be frustrating especially since everything you have tried so far. I know you have been to the vet a lot but Led does not to go back tonhave radiographs or an ultrasound done to look inside his abdomen and intestines and possibly a biopsy to find the underlying cause instead of symptomatic treatment.

Poor guy. This sounds like Bennett may be experiencing some acid reflux. Typically this affects pets when they have an empty stomach (at night) or early morning. Ask you vet about doing a trial run with some antacids to see if this helps. You can also feed him a late night snack (small meal) to see if this helps Otherwise consider having some bloodwork ran to check his organ function for any further clues. Blood work is always a good idea. He may have gastric reflux in which case it is best to feed him multiple small meals throughout the day to keep his stomach from being empty too long. You can also try a trial of Pepcid (famotidine), 5mg once a day in the evening before bed (so 1/2 of a 10mg tablet). Do this for 7-14 days and then see what happens. If no improvement I think you and your vet should do more testing to figure out what may be going on. If this does help, I suggest you consult with your vet about what you did and see what their recommendations are from there. It is not usually a good idea to keep them on famotidine daily forever as it will shut down the stomach's ability to produce any gastric acid which is not a good idea. As a side note, ground beef and steak are really high in fat (even the lean varieties) so I would stop feeding that. High fat diets can cause pancreatitis and vomiting. Yes, this could be due to acid reflux, but I can't say for certain without seeing Leo in person. In addition, it's illegal for me to recommend taking any OTC medication. I would have him seen by a vet for this problem. The vet can diagnose what is causing his issues and can treat him. Best of luck.
