My dog vomiting days after deworming. When should I see a vet?

It is not uncommon for dogs to vomit after medication and generally if it is more then 2 hours after the medication should have worked. As the food was undigested it may not have been absorbed as well as anticipated and it may be worth applying a different type of spot on medication, especially if you are in a heartworm affected area. It sounds as Wangso is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I am not sure the type of dewormer or the vaccines that you used but vomiting often, lethargy, and not eating are not typical 2-4 days after vaccination and deworming. It is very concerning that she is having these signs and she could have an infection or possibly have a parasite that was not susceptible to the dewormer that you used. She really should be seen by a vet to determine the cause and treat. She may need an anti-vomiting injection, antibiotic, antacid, gastrointestinal protectant, dewormer, and/or other medications to treat. We do not usually see itching or vomiting with worms unless they have an excessive worm burden. I would recommend an exam by your vet if he is still having vomiting or diarrhea, to be certain this isn't more than GI parasitism that is causing Brandy to be ill.

He could still vomit worms - it can take a few days and usually two doses to take care of most roundworms. There are some types of stomach worms that would require a different dewormer so I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian if Roman continues to vomit. They can test Roman's stool to help determine what type of worms are present, and it might also help to reserve a worm if he vomits another up.
