My dog vomited blood, now won't eat. Is it safe to give water?

I recommend that you have Layka evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. You can offer a bland diet which may help. This diet could be composed of rice, boiled chicken, ham, turkey, lean hamburgers or low fat cottage cheese. Unfortunately, the symptoms you describe are very concerning - repeated episodes of vomiting like this, especially with blood, are often a sign of a serious problem such as pancreatitis, an intestinal obstruction, a systemic illness like liver or kidney disease, or ingestion of something toxic. A curved back and acting very lethargic are signs of abdominal pain. I'm afraid this is not something that can be treated at home - he really needs to see a vet right away, as this may be a life-threatening problem. The vet can do blood work and x-rays to help determine what is causing the vomiting and get him started on appropriate treatment depending on what is found.

It sounds like Leo is sick and I recommend to have him examined by his veterinarian. Pets can develop diarrhea and vomiting due to many conditions including new food or treats, bacterial over growth, viral infections, parasites or other even organ disease. With continued diarrhea, there are often bacterial shifts in the gut that will make matters worse regardless of the initial cause. Make sure to bring in a sample of fresh stool. The doctor will check him for parasites and bacterial over growth. Many times a bland diet can help and then a slow, gradual introduction to the new food can be done. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. A good diet in general is Royal Canin and I recommend to feed this brand. It sounds as Choco is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet URGENTLY, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

It sounds as Rexi is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him back to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to have a blood test done and possibly also an xray, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if it's something more serious, he should stay hospitalized ate the vet's.
