This could be due to the presence of mucous coming from the last part the intestine. It may be compatible with colitis, which is an inflammation, usually dietary related. This is very concerning as it appears to contain blood, mucus and possibly bowel lining. I recommend an oral worm medication, a specialist intestinal or hydrolyzed diet for 6 weeks and a probiotic/fiber supplement such as fortiflora to rebalance the bowel and rule out any parasitic causes. A full health check, blood tests and possibly ultrasound/xray if not responding or any weight loss, vomiting or weakness is noted

Without touching it myself and opening it I can only speculate: Chicken skin/cartilage, parasite, rubber foreign material. I would put it in a baggie and see if your Vet can identify it in person. Consider bringing a stool sample as well to check for gastro-intestinal parasites. If your dog continues to vomit, is lethargic or stops eating I would have him/her seen right away in case there is more of this material that is causing stomach irritation or an obstruction. Hi there, thanks for the photo! It really looks like she must be ingesting something from outside. It almost looks like a peanut or something??? It does not look like any type of parasite or mucus which is what I was thinking. I would just keep an eye on her poops and see if you can figure out what she may be eating.

Hi there. My first thought is that Pavi needs checked for internal parasites like coccidia that will change the color of their stool and cause then to strain. Second, feeding a good quality food for digestive health is key if your pup often has an upset tummy. Purina Pro Plan EN is a good one, or Hills Science Diet GI. Both are available in canned and dry foods. Some dogs do best when this is what they are fed exclusively. Another thing would be to have Pavi's anal glands checked so that this is not giving her any pain. Hope this helps!
