My dog vomited blood after eating something sharp. Is it stuck?

I am sorry to hear about Lola. It sounds like she needs to get to the vet right away. With her symptoms we would worry about things like a bleeding stomach ulcer, trauma due to ingestion of a foreign object, bleeding due to a disease such as Addison's disease, or a blood clotting disorder which can be caused by ingestion of a poison. I would worry about the blood in Spot's vomit. Toothpicks are sharp and you worry about one of them punching a hole in the stomach. I would recommend to take her into the veterinarian asap. They will prescribe medications to coat her stomach. I would also advise to feed her bread for the next 2 days as the bulk may help to cover any tooth picks and hopefully prevent further damage. If it was the one episode of vomiting and he is otherwise acting normally then I would be concerned but not panicked. I would watch him for the next 24 hours to see what happens.
