Why did my dog vomit after eating too much but seems fine now?

It is a good that he ate this morning but If he vomits today or seems lethargic than he should be examined by your vet. If he doesn't vomit today than he probably just had an upset stomach from something he ate, he may have ate too fast, or possibly been affected by the heat.

She probably vomited because she ate a lot of different treats. At this point, you shouldn’t be concerned but if she continues to vomit or becomes lethargic then she should be examined by your vet. Any type of new diet or treat can cause gastric upset and new foods should be introduced gradually.

Your vet will be able to perform a physical exam and run diagnostic tests such as bloodwork to determine the cause of Maggie's vomiting. In the meantime you can continue to monuitir her at home. Rest her stomach for a few hours. Then try smaller meals three times a day. Try a bland diet of boiled chicken breast and white rice for a few days and provide plenty of fresh water. It is not uncommon for puppies to eat more than they should, and they typically vomit as a result of that. If Diesel is bright and active as normal you just need to monitor him at home. You need to offer him smaller portions of food every few hours. Please, follow the feeding instructions on the package regarding the amount food he should be getting. It is very easy to overfeed a puppy if you don't stick to the recommendations.

It is not that unusual for a puppy to be sick, especially if he has been running around and eaten recently. As long as the pup seems in goid form I wouldnt worry too much. However if he seems dull or continues to vomit then a trip to the vet would be wise.
