My dog's UDS is getting worse. Are there any new treatments?

I would also suspect an autoimmune disease like systemic lupus erythematosis with what you are describing. These are terrible diseases that are often difficult to treat. It appears that Roxy's current treatment is not very effective, so I would recommend scheduling a recheck exam with your vet. There are stronger medications that can be given. I would also want to ensure the disease is accurately diagnosed. This usually requires that a skin biopsy be done and sent to the laboratory for analysis. If this has not been done, then I would ask your vet about it. It's not unheard of for a case to be treated for autoimmune disease when the actual diagnosis was something different (i.e. skin cancer, mite infestation), so it's important to have a biopsy and histopathology (lab analysis) done. Surgically, you can have these removed but this procedure typically costs $3000 per eye in my experience. It is possible that the cataracts could be due to diabetes but without blood work, it is difficult to say. Even if this was due to diabetes, there is no reversing the condition once developed. The skin could be a skin infection or allergy. I would recommend using the following products, which can all be found online to see if this helps the skin. I hope this helps! For lupus, the typical treatment involves suppressing the immune system with steroids or other immunosuppressant drugs in addition to vitamins, antibiotics and topical therapy. Hello. The drops that suppress the immune system are not treating a food allergy, rather they are treating an auto-immune disease that affects the tear duct itself. Your vet should work-up the eye by doing a schemer tear test to determine if Fall is producing an appropriate amount of tears. If Fall has a low tear production then the immune-suppressive drops should help. I would continue to try these and see if it resolves. If these are not working then I would suggest seeing an ophthalmologist. Good luck with Fall.

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. At this point given she has not improved, I would recommend you consider having her evaluated by a veterinary ophthalmologist who can recommend further. The lesion on her nose could sure be due to Leishmania which is prevalent in the Middle East however, it could be due to other causes. Was any testing done to confirm the leishmania? Cytology, biopsy, histopathology, serology? There is no cure for Leishmania however, treatment can often keep the disease at bay. Treatment is lifelong is most cases. If organ failure/involvement is already present then the likelihood the of the medications working is minimal. Also, treatment is often expensive and cost prohibitive for many people. The prognosis overall is not great.
