Can tick spray be fatal or toxic if my dog licks it off their fur?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

3 stray dogs(6 months)died last week in our road.I've been using tick spray for them since they were 3 months old.The day they died I had sprayed tick spray on them in the morning.Can tick spray be fatal if licked ?every night one one puppy died,they were very well n healthy till midnight 12 and before we woke up they were dead.someone must have poisoned them intentionally,but I am confused abt this spray,I 've used this for more than 2 months,so can these tick sprays be that Fatal. . . .!!??

No, typically tick spray isn't fatal if licked. There is a potential it could have some toxicity, but the dog would have to ingest a large amount. Given that they lived outdoors and were strays, it could be that they got into something toxic outside, could have had a serious disease like parvo or distemper, could have been attacked by another animal, or could have been hit by a car. I'm very sorry they died. If you come across any more strays, I would contact your local RSPCA to come and get them. I hope this helps.

    How tragic! Yes, if the tick spray isn't meant to be sprayed on an animal it can be toxic. Also some tick and flea spray can only be used on dogs of certain ages. If you want to post the name of the spray we can help you better.
